UMA ANÁLISE DOS DISPOSITIVOS DE INVISIBILIZAÇÃO – AS CONTRIBUIÇÕES DE MERLEAU-PONTY

Abstract

In this article, I work with concepts developed by Merleau-Ponty about the body, seeking to redirect the discussion, focusing on anti-normative bodies, in order to expand discussions on ableism and accessibility, providing a philosophical basis for thinking about these issues, seeking in philosophy the foundation to encompass the entire discussion about the equality of individuals, focusing on demonstrating philosophically how individuals who throughout history have been relegated to invisibility in society are as entitled to rights as people with standard bodies, in addition to showing a possible way for individuals with disabilities to show themselves and others how they interpret and give meaning to the world through art.
